What initially drove you to start TAZ?
Guy Driver - I started TAZ with a passion, i have been in retail all my working life and have a passion to make things happen. I started TAZ because i wanted to have a retail store that offered the widest range of Apple iPhone Accessories and where people could touch feel and see the product. I also saw the potential that the cellphone repair market was providing due to the vast increase of smart phone usage and the cost to replace the devices.
What do you attribute your success too?
Guy Driver - Simply one fact, Service, yes i know everyone says they have the best customer service. I say one thing and that's that we take every transaction to heart. It really stresses me out if we are having a problem with any device we are repairing because i take it so personally. For me, when you choose TAZ you did so because you felt comfortable and confident and that's why i will do everything humanely possible to give you the best service possible. My desire is to satisfy every customer that walks through our doors to do business with us. Sometimes that's difficult because electronics are not something you can always control.
How come you have not opened up more stores like your competitors??
Guy Driver - Well that's a great question. I feel that until i can open up a second or third store, i need to have all my ducks in a row and must have the ability to give the same quality service at each location. I think its imperative to be well prepared and insure that everything is done right. Opening store after store is easy. The difficult part is to do it right. All i can say is that i will be opening more stores and that i have big plans for the future of TAZ. I see my competitors opening up stores all the time around me, but i know where i am going and what i am planning, so it does not bother me.
Does the competition effect you?
Guy Driver - Competition is always good, i see a lot of great things my competition do and sometimes i am very impressed by there tactics. Competition is healthy and i can only learn from them. I only consider three companies here in Tampa as competitors. The rest are just getting by. As long as the competition is professional and ethical and keeps the standard, then i am all about good competition.
What is your next move?
Guy Driver - Well we do have a rather cool innovative plan that i hopefully will be getting off the ground within the next month. I hope that this will change the game a little and a new way we do business. So until then I'm all mum the word!
You repair all makes and models of Cell Phones, is it not better to specialize?
Guy Driver - Well we do, we specialize in repairing all Apple iPhone, iPad's, iPod's and Apple Mac'. That is what we are specialists in, but we have competent techs that can fix everything and for that reason we can do all makes and models of cell phones. Not everyone can do that, that's why they don't and we do. I am very hesitant to just do repairs on anything. So if we say we can repair it, then we will.

The wonderful world of the smartphone
Numbers recently released point to just how close the U.S. is to having more smartphone than feature phone users: analysts say 49.7 percent of cell phone users currently own a smartphone, which a really big jump on what the figures were this time last year at 36 percent.
What’s increasingly clear regarding this growth is that it appears no other platform is proving to be a contender against Apple’s iOS and Google’s Android.
Currently, Android-based smartphones account for 48 percent of all smartphones owned in the U.S., while Apple’s different versions of the iPhone account for 32 percent. Both of those shares have grown: in September 2011, it is said that Android’s share was 40 percent and Apple’s 28 percent.
When it comes to the purchasing of smartphones, the power of Android and AppleiOS is even stronger. In the last three months, Android accounted for 48% of all handsets that were purchased, while Apple accounted for 43%.
This growth was at the expense of BlackBerry, now down to just 5% of handsets bought, with the rest of the other platforms — which includes Microsoft’s Windows Phone — accounting for 4% of smartphones that are been bought.
Apple in my opinion lead the way regardless, when you take into account the fact that Android has so many more varieties and manufacturers pumping out devices what almost seems daily. Just look at the fact that Motorola, Samsung, LG, HTC, Pantech, and of course others, all manufacture and back Android. So of course you are going to have a much higher percentage of sales. These manufacturers all have several models and then you look at Apple and say, "wow, only 3 active models at this current point, Wow is right. No contest when you look at it like that.
I still think Apple make the greatest phones and would not want to bother with Android if it was up to me. It is not of course, so we have to play nice.

What to look for in iPhone Repair Services
When looking for a top-rated iPhone repair businesses, be sure to look carefully over all the criteria that would make a repair service stand out from the rest. This will help you to make the best decision depending on your needs. Is there a walk-in brick and mortar location near you? Do they provide free USPS First Class return shipping? Here’s a list of criteria we would encourage you to consider. How long have they been in business. Do they offer a warranty on their repair services, Are they efficient and well priced offering value for money, Are they friendly and accommodating. Are their technicians well equipped and experienced? And most importantly do they offer a free diagnostic service, just a few things you should think about before choosing your repair center.
Since Apple debuted their iPhone in 2007, it’s become such a hit that they’ve already released four more models. Apple’s first generation iPhone, the iPhone 2G, is still used by millions and but sadly most of the repair businesses do not repair this model due to the cost of repair and cost of parts, making it too expensive to repair most times. iPhone 3G and iPhone 3GS; and newer models iPhone4 and iPhone 4S that came out in 2010 and last year. We also included Apple’s iPod Touch 2G and 3G - the most popular iPod 4th Gen that is currently in circulation. Note: not all repair shops do repairs on 4th gen due to its complexity in the repair. Check out this site for a full list of all the models (and other devices) they service. http://www.techaccessoryzone.com
There are dozens of extra repairs that iPhone repair shops now offer. For our matrix we included what we felt were the most important, which were the following: Free evaluation, monitor status online. 1 hour Repair Services. Repair Services while you wait. 90 day Warranties. As it goes with most things in life, the more extras the better, and in the world of iPhone repair this is definitely the case. If a repair company goes the extra mile, making your repair experience by explaining your repair needs to you and even looking at your device for free, they definitely deserve a look. Customer Service Quality customer service is always important; especially when you’re buying online and only communicating with customer service agents via phone, email or chat. We did find one company based in Tampa who is very serious about helping you, and by providing thorough customer service options, you can be sure they’ll do a professional job, so be sure to check out TAZ - Tech Accessory Zone.
Security is never far from the minds’ of most customers and an adequate warranty of course. Businesses such as these are dealing with tech-savvy people, and the right iPhone repair business will know this. If community features are important to you, make sure to look over this feature category carefully and be sure to check out what these Cell Phone Repair Service centers offer to there local community.

Will the new iPhone 5 be released in Ocober?
All speculations are that the iPhone 5 is on course to be released around October, and with all the speculations spreading on the Internet, people are anticipating and desperately waiting for the announcement of the Apple iPhone 5 release date, which is now expected to happen in Fall 2012. Pretty crazy that it seems the 4S just released less than 6 months ago, but yet everyone is now foccussed on the new iPhone!!! wow we are so driven by technology and our appetite for new things abounds to just wanting new stuff. Many fans and current Apple iPhone consumers are wondering what groundbreaking features Apple will add to the new iPhone 5.UPDATE: The most recent rumors indicate that the iPhone 5 will have a 4+ inch display, possibly made by Korean giant LG. However rumors of a teardrop-shaped device have been shelved after a Foxconn employee in China revealed that samples so far are symmetrical in thickness. (Foxconn is the company that currently manufactures the iPhone 4S and iPad 2 for Apple.) The same source reveals that neither of the samples have the iPhone 4 and iPhone 4S forms which I guess is in line with the fact that apple always changes after two rounds of the same shape, and that neither of the devices seen so far are the final versions. This employee has however failed to indicate any concrete features that are set to appear in this next generation of iPhone. Although Apple does not reveal the exact specifications and features until the device is officially unveiled, we could dictate some of the main features that are expected, but understandibly we know everything is just pure rumour. However, "rumor" of the new iPhone 5 features, in terms of both hardware and software upgrades, will definitely entice any smartphone buyer. The upcoming phone is expected to sport the Apple’s latest and greatest A6 processor chip, iCloud service upgrade, higher-resolution camera, and a 4+ inch screen size, and upgraded and improved SIRI. Here are some of the most anticipated iPhone 5 features: iOS 6 Apple. The user interface is based on the concept of direct manipulation, using multi-touch gestures. It is expected to come with more than 200 new features that will include improved Notification System, News Stand and improved and updated iMessage. iMessage is an application that is developed to compete with Blackberry Messenger. The app will allow MAC, iPod Touch, iPhone, and iPad users to communicate with each other. The iMessage feature has been integrated into the SMS/MMS application used originally on the iPhone models. The iPhone5 is expected to have improved iCloud services. Apple’s iPhone 5 is expected to feature the new iCloud service for wireless remote access of music from all computers and mobile devices. The iPhone5 will automatically sync with the iCloud which will allow users to store photos, apps, calendars and documents without having them to store in the phone’s memory. Apple is also looking to tie up with top music label companies to license songs for the iCloud service. However, rumors state that Apple might release a low-cost “iCloud iPhone” alongside the iPhone 5. It could be named the “iPhone Mini”“The iPhone Mini (or iPhone Nano, or whatever) could have significantly less storage than a typical iPhone. Most likely 8 gigabytes of storage – the same as the lowest end iPhones right now. Apple won’t prevent users from storing their own content, afterall that is defeating the purpose of owning a cell phone. But since it has a small amount of memory, Apple will likely push the ability to stream media via MobileMe as well.”A5 Processor to power the iPhone5. iPhone 5 will house the A5 as the main processor, which technically is the same chip that currently powers the iPad 2. The A5 contains a dual-core ARM Cortex-A9 CPU with NEON SIMD accelerator and a dual core PowerVR SGX543MP2 GPU, which means that the iPhone5 would be able to do twice the work at once. The processor speed will be somewhere between 1.2 to 1.5 GHz, with probably a 1GB RAM.The processor upgrade is done not just to increase the processing speed of the phone, but also to compete with the newly launched Samsung Galaxy S II. The A5 chip might effectively increase the power use, however, it is said that the chip has “got dynamic power management”, which can lower the [speed] depending on the workload, and thus efficiently make use of the power. As far as the camera is concerned, it is believed that Apple have filed several patent applications relating to 3D picture capturing to the US Patent and Trademark Office. This indicates that the iPhone 5 might feature a 3D camera?? The filing indicates that the device will be capable of capturing, processing and rendering 3D images with dual-camera. Another interesting feature is that the iPhone 5 will be capable of taking pictures in Panorama view. It will work similarly to the ’360 Panorama’ application in the App Store. It will let you take pictures in a sequence as you move the camera from one side to another, which in the end will effortlessly stitch the images together to create a panorama picture. This will be a great feature. We asked Guy Driver of TAZ - Tech Accessory Zone an Apple repair service center here here in Tampa about his speculations on the new iPhone 5, and he said " gosh with the current class of smart phones it's difficult to imagine what more they can add to an already awesome device, so i guess it can only be enhancements on existing features"
Additionally, if Apple really wants to keep up with the competition to Android, There has not been a better screen resolution since the release of the iPhone 4's retina display. Currently the iPhone 4 has a 3.5 inches screen size, and sources indicate that Apple might stay locked with the current size. But a few other sources (including a recent rumor from a Foxconn employee in China) say that Apple is planning to increase the screen size to 4+ inch with higher screen resolution. However, the iPhone 5 could be slightly wider and thinner. The dimensions are calculated to be: 4.33″ x 2.36″ and .27″ thickness at the top and .21″ at the bottom, whereas the dimensions of iPhone 4 are: 4.5″ x 2.31″ x .37″Other iPhone5 FeaturesHere are some of the other features that we can expect from the iPhone 5:
Other iPhone 5 FeaturesFace Recognition Security4G/LTE support *A new, sleeker body design OLED screenScratch proof and shatter proof screen. Extended battery life, Increased RAM (from 512MB to 1GB)New multi-tasking look HD audio Built-in GPS. According the AT&T documents leaked by LulzSec, the Apple iPhone 5 will offer 4G and will be LTE (Long Term Evolution) network compatible. LTE is a project of the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP), and is the latest standard in the mobile network technology. According to International Business Times, it is rumoured that the iPhone 5 will feature a new SIM-less design with 2 to 3 internal antennas for CDMA and aswell as sim slot for GSM compatibility, which will make it a “worldphone” as is the current 4S version. The above mentioned features are some of the improvements that we can expect from Apple. However, we cannot assure you that they are true in anyway, but most of the upgrades are more likely to be utilized as we often ask i ourselfs, what more can they put into these Smart Phones?? Apple definitely wants to fight back against Android smartphone makers like HTC and Samsung, and perhaps it is why the new iPhone 5 will host some of the outstanding features. iPhone 5 Launch Date: Apple follows a tradition to launch new devices in their summer Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), but that didn’t happen last year, so we will assume that like last year the new iPhone will be launched in October 2012. The iPhone 4 has proven to be one of the most successful smartphones of all time with selling over 1.7 million devices in just three days of availability, and iPhone 4S sales hit the roof with more than 600,000 units sold on the first day. We are expecting that the iPhone 5 will certainly replicate this success, and one thing is for sure – the sales of iPhone 5 will definitely boom and we can expect a huge number of people lined up at Apple stores when the device is available for sale. At this stage no official price has been unveiled but we expect the iPhone 5 to be the same price than the iPhone 4S when it was released. Will the iPhone 5 be here in October 2012
Apple may release its next-generation iPhone -- presumably called the iPhone 5 -- in September or October 2012, according to Japanese blog Macotakara. Citing an "Asian reliable source," Macotakara believes Apple is moving away from mid-year launches and leaning toward a 12-month iPhone upgrade cycle starting in the fall.

Citing an "Asian reliable source," Macotakara believes Apple is moving away from mid-year launches and leaning towards a 12-month iPhone upgrade cycle starting in the fall. The iPhone 5 will reportedly feature a new form factor, a bigger screen and LTE.
The last iPhone, the iPhone 4S, was the first Apple smartphone released outside of the summer months. The original iPhone, as well as the iPhone 3G, 3GS and 4 models, were all released in June or July. While there is no clear reason why the 4S was the only iPhone released in the fall, analysts believe Apple attempted to implement LTE into the phone, and failed. Now, Apple hopes to maintain a regular schedule by keeping each new iPhone release about 11 months apart. There is a very high chance that LTE, which stands for "Long-Term Evolution," will be featured in Apple's next iPhone.LTE features significantly higher download and upload speeds compared to 3G technologies, but the current implementations of LTE in phones appear to cause "very short battery life," which is a "major complaint by users." If Apple wanted LTE in the iPhone 4S, it would have been forced to increase the phone's thickness to accommodate a larger circuit board and a bigger battery. Apple CEO Tim Cook, in a company earnings conference call in April 2011, said "first-generation LTE chipsets force a lot of design compromises." not leaving any room for an extra chip to enable LTE without shrinking the size of the battery," said Anand Shimpi, a chip expert and CEO of Anandtech. Luckily for Cook and Apple, Qualcomm has reportedly developed a new, thinner LTE chipset, which is considerably smaller than current LTE chipsets. The new LTE chip is expected to debut in the iPad 3, with the Wall Street Journal confirming that AT&T and Verizon Wireless are both planning to sell iPads with LTE capabilities. If the iPad is getting LTE in March, there is little doubt left that the next iPhone will get the same high-speed treatment. As of January, Apple was reportedly gearing up to begin production on the iPhone 5. A source from within China's Foxconn manufacturing plant told 9 to 5 Mac various sample iPhone 5 prototypes are floating around the floor, but there are a number of common features among the phones, including a display that measures at least 4 inches, and a longer and wider form factor that does not match that of the iPhone 4 or 4S. The iPhone 5 will also reportedly retain the rectangular shape of its predecessors, putting to bed rumors of a thinner teardrop shape.Previous reports have said the Apple iPhone 5 will feature an improved version of Siri, the voice-activated AI system that was only released as a beta in the iPhone 4S, as well as a bigger screen. In November, Hitachi and Sony reportedly began shipping 4-inch LCD panels for final production of "new iOS devices" believed to be the next-generation iPhone. Upgrading the iPhone's 3.5-inch screen to a 4-inch display would require a rebuilt Retina Display, but a bigger screen would help Apple compete against phone makers that make bigger screens, such as Samsung, while also providing a more immersive iPhone experience. Before Apple unveiled the iPhone 4S on Oct. 4, the Internet was flooded with photos of a thin, large-screen iPhone 4. The photos were widely believed to be doctored until one Chinese site discovered "mold engineerings" of an iPhone 4 with a noticeably larger screen. The renderings depicted an edge-to-edge design for the iPhone's screen, which looked to measure about 3.7 inches. Component industry trackers believed that the images represented Apple's wish to compete with rival devices with bigger screens.Apple wants its next generation of mobile devices to look beautiful, and the company is reportedly working on giving its devices greater pixel density. Bigger screens with more pixels in the Retina Display mean higher resolution for watching movies and viewing detailed images, from PDFs to X-rays to MRIs to 3D architectural renderings. Even text will appear rich and razor-sharp. While the iPad 3 will double the pixel density of the iPad 2, it's likely that Apple would reconfigure the Retina Display not only feature more pixels, but also to match a slightly bigger screen. Apple fans and users would benefit from a bigger and more beautiful Retina Display, but this switch could force app developers to learn an entirely new way to write their iOS software.Apple's next iPhone may also include a number of the company's recently granted patents, including NFC functionality to complete sales transactions and share work across multiple devices, as well as its crack-resistant glass solution. A shock mount between the glass and the body of the device will instantly inflate if the device senses it's falling, which is determined by the device's internal accelerometer. An actuator within the device sucks in the cover glass as it accelerates to the ground, protecting it from damage. If Apple intends to release the iPhone 5 in the fall, it may unveil its next-gen smartphone alongside a smaller, 8-inch iPad, which is also expected to debut in October. The original report from Apple's Taiwanese supply chain was later confirmed by The Wall Street Journal, which said Apple is working on an 8-inch iPad. On Jan. 24, Cook released Apple's record-breaking Q1 2012 earnings, announcing $46.33 billion in overall earnings, $13.1 billion in profit and $17.5 billion in cash for the quarter that ended Dec. 31, 2011. In the last 14 weeks of the year, Apple sold 37 million iPhones, 15.4 million iPads and 5.2 million Macs."We're thrilled with our outstanding results and record-breaking sales of iPhones, iPads and Macs," Cook said. "Apple's momentum is incredibly strong, and we have some amazing new products in the pipeline." TAZ - Tech Accessory Zone follows Apple closely and is proud to be an Apple Lover. TAZ has iPhone4 accessories galor!
TAZ likes to keep it's cell phone customers informed and adds links and reviews as often as we can to our cyber comms! The cameras on the new iPhone are going to be a topic of much debate, since it seems as though this has been an area where Apple has been slow to innovate. The 3GS only sported a three megapixel shooter with few bells and whistles (and no flash), and while it was fine for quick snaps, it wasn't an artist's tool by any means. Yay for Apple they finally seems to be listening to a public that's interested in leaving the point-and-shoot at home in favor of a phone with a capable camera, by adding a five megapixel shooter to the backside of the iPhone 4 and a VGA camera up front it seems like it's going to be a winner this time!http://www.techaccessoryzone.com/html/how-to-sync-your-iphone-e4.html
